Halte Pixou is a platform born from our life on the road, in our old RV of the same name.We’re Naomie and Mathieu — a couple of nomads in love with Quebec, its landscapes, its artisans, and its stories.

🌿 The story of Halte Pixou
Halte Pixou is the story of two dreamers — Naomie and Mathieu — who one day decided to finally listen to that little voice that had been whispering all along: go explore the world… on the road.
Since she was a child, Naomie always gave the same answer, no matter what career path she was asked about: I want to travel.
Doctor without Borders, war journalist, flight attendant, sailor, travel advisor… all of her dreams, though very different, shared one thing: the call to leave. And since the age of 12, one image never left her: her, in a van, roaming the open road, free. After exploring paths in administration, management, and later special education in the healthcare system, something still felt missing: freedom, the unknown, the spontaneous, the magical… nature.
Mathieu, on the other hand, had always been intense, logical, and determined. Every minute mattered — used with intention. Drawn to real estate and appraisal, he trained in building estimation while also completing a program in real estate brokerage. But behind that structure lived a quiet dream: capturing the beauty of the world. A self-taught photographer, passionate about wide landscapes and aerial views, he turned this passion into a real estate photography business… while quietly dreaming of something greater, broader, higher.
Then fate brought them together. A bond, first gentle, then powerful. Two years after they met, love — and a shared dream — slowly took root: living on the road, together. A team formed naturally — united by passion, complementarity, and a clear mission.
That’s when their little family came to life: Luna, the gentle grey cat; Charlot, the happy curly barker; and above all, Pixou — their old 1988 Ford E350 motorhome. The name? A magical story. At first, they considered naming it “Piscou,” like the globe-trotting duck (Scrooge McDuck in French)… but it felt too Disney. Then someone randomly suggested “Pixou,” without knowing their idea. A coincidence too perfect not to be a sign. Through travels, renovations, projects, surprises, and laughter, Halte Pixou was born. A project that reflects their way of life, of seeing the world, of loving people. A project that brings together their love for Quebec — its nature, culture, artisans, products, and connections.
